history

Moving Collective was founded by Theresa Bautista in 2005 as a way to create a platform for choreographers to share their work while giving professionally trained dancers the opportunity to showcase their talent.

The self-titled premier concert was intended to be a one-time event. Following the support of the artists and the local community Moving Collective has continued to present contemporary dance concerts for over a decade. Currently, we have presented over 150 choreographic works and showcased the talents of over 100 dancers.

As we move forward into our 11th season, Moving Collective is evolving with the addition of artistic director Amanda Browning who has come alongside Theresa to create a new vision for the future. This season we will continue to present innovative works by local and regional choreographers as well as premiering our first evening length work.
